The Texas Scramble was played on Saturday 28th June. The four player team competition had 21 teams competing on a lovely sunny day with light winds. The scoring was extremely low and the top two teams were separated by the count back rule. The “Big Hitters” of brothers Ross and Lorne Robertson accompanied by James McKinven and Craig Barr were looking to do the texas scramble double having won last month in the golf week. They bettered their previous score by two shots with a brilliant 53.2, however, this was beaten on a better back nine score by Oliver Armour, Alan Anderson and father and son, David and Andrew Wallace. Oliver chipped in twice in the space of seven holes at the 10th and 16th to assist his team shooting an incredible inward half of 25. An eagle at the 10th followed by eight birdies secured 1st place by the narrowest of margins.
