Jimmy Kerr Open 2012
The Machrihanish Golf Club continued the Open schedule last weekend with the Jimmy Kerr Memorial Trophy which attracted 120 entries.
The winning score was returned by Patrick Galbraith who played in one of the first games of the day to set the bar very high after finishing 77-13=64. Despite a bogey, double bogey start, Patrick made 9 pars and 2 birdies to put together the winning score finishing 2 strokes clear of the runner up.
In the scratch competition, Oliver Armour was the winner with a 71 after a one over par outward, and level par inward.
Andrew Wallace not only continues to dominate the junior section with 78-9=69, but also dominates the Wallace household after yet another victory over his father, David.
Although not in the prizes for the day, Charles Robertson had cause for celebration at the par 3, 16th hole after seeing his tee shot drop into the cup for a hole in one.
