2912_06_12 New Champion Crowned at the Machrihanish Golf Club

 

Four rounds of typical links conditions golf over the last 2 weekends at Machrihanish has resulted in local lad, David Graham winning the Club Championship for the first time.

David set himself up well during the first weekend with a 71 and a 69 to get 7 strokes ahead of Jordan Grant, the 2011 Champion. Despite Jordan getting a few shots back on the final day, David saw the task in hand through with two 73’s to finish with a combined score of 286 for the four rounds. Jordon Grant was runner up with 290, followed by Oliver Armour and George McMillan with 294 and 298 respectively.

In the Senior Championship Colin Lang took the honours over Brian Findlay by one stroke with a combined score of 157 over the two rounds.
